This weekend I had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot for one of my good friends Jocelyn and her fiancee Adam. We had so much fun with two days of shooting I can't wait for their wedding at the end of August.

The first day we went to Rock Glen in Arkona, On. About an hour from London and the second day to the old courthouse and adjacent park.

Doggie Shoot

Yesterday I had the pleasure to photograph Zoe the dog. What a light hearted dog and very energetic.

I've been taking photos for a local rescue organization called All Breed Canine Rescue. My favorite dog so far has been Jenny, she just melted my heart when i saw her.

Engagement Session

Sunday Alex and I shot an engagement session for a couple here in London. They where the highest bidders on the package through one of the United Ways silent auctions.

It was a very bitter cold weekend so we took the majority of the shoot indoors at the Delta Armouries downtown London.

Welcome 2010!!

What a great year we had in 2009, and we are beginning 2010 with great anticipation of the things to come, both for this company and for us personally.

We are running two great promotions this January.

1. Book your wedding with us this January and receive a free photo guest book. either using your own images or the images from an engagement session booked with us.

2. In light of the disaster that has his Haiti half of all engagement session fees booked before February 6Th will go to help those in Haiti via World Vision Canada.

I really hope we can rally up some great support to help after this terrible disaster. If you would like to book a different session with us, be it maternity, family portraits, model portraits, bridal boudoir, or your wedding and have some of the booking price go to this cause that can also be arranged.

This past Sunday we did a great photo shoot for Inga and Richard, and what a beautiful day for a shoot.

They requested a film noir style shoot, which we had so much fun shooting. They where a great couple to photograph. Here are just a few selected photos.

Alexis & Chris' Wedding

Our last wedding for July was this past weekend, and in true July style it rained...poured...and stormed. Despite all of the rain and thunderstorms the skies opened up for us just shortly after the ceremony to let us get some great shots.

The wedding was at Highland Golf and Country Club in London, Ontario. What a great location for a wedding and portraits. The grounds are stunning and the hall was very well decorated, and the food...what a great addition to a great wedding.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of doing a baby shoot for a lovely couple. It went really well with only a few meltdowns, but eventually she tired of looking at the camera and fell asleep.

Kim & Chris' Wedding

July 11Th was such an odd ball day. It had poured really hard with strong winds first thing in the morning, and it looked like we where to have a lot of rain and thunderstorms all day. Around late morning early afternoon the sun made a surprising and most welcome appearance and was shinning for the rest of the day.
Although rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck I have yet to meet a bride who finds herself lucky when it rains.

Despite the crazy weather Kim & Chris had a beautiful wedding. We had a chance to visit Kitchener's city hall where they were married in a really nice chapel, what a great place, it was so pretty inside.

I really hope you guys had as much fun on your day as we did shooting it!

Sarah & Steve's Wedding July 4 2009

Well its July, which means back to back weddings this month, and to kick it all off was Sarah and Steve. What a great couple to work with, they where so laid back and happy and it definitely rubbed off on everyone around them.

Despite the heat that crept their wedding was fabulous. The bridesmaid dresses where so bright and cheerful, and the colours at the reception where great as well. I loved the fact that people had to hula-hoop for kisses. It's nice to see all the different games that people create but Hula-Hooping is a first.

Sarah & Steve you guys made our job so easy and effortless, we thank you for your patience, your fun spirit and grinning through the piercing sun and heat. We truly believe that God has created another fine couple to spend the rest of their lives together, and we hope he continues to bless you everyday, and that you let him shine through as much in your daily lives as he did on your wedding day. You where truly a pleasure to photograph, Thank you.

Sorry for the late posting of this wedding, but here are a few images from Shauna and Dan's wedding last weekend.
What a great bunch to photograph though...they were very laid back and ready to do and try anything. Alex and I had a great time photographing everyone, and the reception was so much fun.

Barnes Family Portraits

On Sunday June 7th I photographed a family that is very close friends with my family. They where such great subjects to shoot, the kids especially. It's not very often you get a whole group of kids from one family that are very photogenic, but these kids where definitly up for anything and came up with some of their own funky poses and things to do.

Saturdays Wedding

Here are just a few photos from saturdays wedding in Oshawa. Alex and I had such a great time shooting this wedding and the bride and groom where excellent. Even when it started to rain half way through their portraits they stuck it out and decided we should keep shooting, which worked out well as the rain stoped in just a few short minutes.

Sorry about the watermarks on the photos. We have decided to check out the Gary Fong program Bullzeye, so we're using the demo version to see if we like it before we buy it,and so all photos used in the program end up with a watermark on them. Let me know what you think of the photos done in the program so i get some insight on what the public thinks.

We Stiehl Weddings is a Husband and Wife team. Our goal with this blog is to bring you up to date information on what is happening with the company as well as with us as photographers.
